Applied Justice Insights is the commentary and knowledge-sharing platform of the Applied Justice Lab. We publish accessible, evidence-informed articles that explore contemporary issues in justice, prevention, public policy, and social change.
Our goal is to bridge the gap between research and practice by creating a space where academics, practitioners, students, community leaders, and individuals with lived experience can share ideas, insights, and solutions.
We welcome contributions that challenge assumptions, highlight emerging issues, translate research into practice, or offer thoughtful perspectives on improving justice systems and community well-being.

To submit a contribution, please email your article as a Word document, along with a brief author biography and institutional or organizational affiliation to appliedjusticelab@kpu.ca.
While we cannot publish every submission received, we welcome diverse perspectives that contribute to informed, constructive, and evidence-based dialogue.
Submission Guidelines
- Original and unpublished work
- Evidence-informed and constructive tone
- Clear author and institutional affiliation
- 600–1,500 words typical length
- Citation style should reflect the format of the submission. Commentary and opinion pieces may use embedded hyperlinks, while research-oriented articles should follow APA citation guidelines.
Editorial Review
All submissions undergo a rigorous editorial review by the Applied Justice Lab team. We prioritize work that is relevant, high-quality, and clearly aligned with our mission of bridging research and practice for meaningful change.
